About Us

Heritage Village Recreation Club (HVRC) is a registered not-for-profit corporation owned equally by every member. Only members in good standing can access the clubhouse and participate in events and activities. Currently there are approximately 680 members. 

Board of Directors: Are elected by the membership of Heritage Village Recreation Club (HVRC) at the annual general meeting (AGM) held in June. Directors are elected for a three-year term and are a diverse group of men and women representing the full scope of views present within the community. Their shared values “For the Good of the Clubhouse” inform the decisions they make on behalf of the clubhouse. HVRC is governed by bylaws that are posted in the members only pages. Each Director is responsible for a portfolio on our organization chart. The Board of Directors meet monthly and copies of the monthly minutes can be found in a binder in the lounge. Various committees who do much of the work in the clubhouse report to the Board of Directors.  

Volunteers: Volunteers play a vital role in the running of the Clubhouse subsequently keeping costs down and assisting with the up-keep and maintenance of the building. Our monthly membership fees would be considerably higher without the support and work done by our many volunteers. We consider the Clubhouse an extension of our homes. 

All programs, committees, and activities are organized and run by volunteers. These activities offer you a great opportunity to meet your fellow residents and make new friends. We welcome and encourage all new residents to get involved by volunteering. If you are interested in volunteering, please speak to the Office Administrator for a complete list of areas to volunteer and or fill in the form listed in the Members Only Section of this website. A Volunteer appreciation banquet is provided to members.

At the clubhouse, you’ll find a wide variety of engaging activities to enjoy, including exercise programs, aquafit classes, arts & crafts workshops, line dancing, organized card games, Bible study sessions, lawn bowling, shuffleboard, and much more! There’s something for everyone to explore and enjoy!
